• Minister Kang met with French Senator Cambon to discuss cooperation on veterans affairs, including the unearthing and reassessment of Korean independence movements in light of the 80th anniversary of liberation. • She also hosted a meeting with French Korean War veterans and their families, and visited Les Invalides to pay respects to the late General Monclar. • Minister Kang Jung-ai: “This was an opportunity to reemphasize the importance of international veterans' projects that aim to reward the sacrifices and dedication of UN veterans. The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs will strive to enhance exchange, cooperation, and friendship between Korea and France by remembering French participation in the Korean War as well as her support for the independence of Korea.” |
