Korea awards US high school students with the first MPVA Minister prize

The ministry is awarding three students in the US for their voluntary work from cleaning the Korean War Memorial in Pittsburgh, US to writing letters to veterans to mark the UN Forces Participation Day on July 27

The award presentation will be done by the Korean Embassy in the US instead of inviting them to Korea due to COVID-19 and the ministry want to continue the legacy of UN veterans who dedicated themselves for Korea 70 years ago

 

[Sejong, Korea, July 23]— The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (Minister Park Sam-Duck) awards three high school students in the US for their voluntary work at the Korean War Memorial in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on the occasion of the UN Forces’ Participation Day on July 27. 

 

It is the first award by the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to US students, which will be given to the three students through the Korean Embassy instead of inviting them to Korea due to COVID-19.
