“In the Name of the Country You Saved” Korea Invites 70 UN Veterans and their Families through MPVA’s Revisit Korea Program | |
• The revisit program takes place from the 8th (Wed) to the 13th (Mon) and includes a visit to Panmunjom, a concert, an international memorial ceremony for UN veterans, and a thanksgiving luncheon.
• 51 people (8 UN veterans and 43 family members) from 10 countries, as well as 19 people (10 UN veterans of Korean descent and 9 family members) from 3 countries will revisit. • The group also includes 4 UN veterans and family members from Suriname and Morocco, who were attached to Dutch and French units at their time of service. • Minister Park Min-shik stated, “We are making every effort to elevate the status of South Korea by enhancing our image as a country that remembers grace and repays it through various international veterans programs.” |
