Welcome to the website of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.

Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs

Kang Jung-ai

The Republic of Korea is built upon the sacrifices of heroes dedicated to the nation's independence, defense, and democracy. Today, this legacy lives on through the unwavering dedication of uniformed personnel safeguarding the lives and safety of our citizens.

Our initiatives for patriots and veterans aim to honor these individuals' commitment and perpetuate their legacy, serving as an unseen yet potent force that protects the Republic of Korea today and secures its tomorrow.

Recognizing the significance of these efforts, we are committed to elevating these initiatives by thinking from the perspectives of those we serve, including veterans and citizens.

“Why was the Ministry upgraded?”
“What do the people expect from the Ministry?”
“How is the Ministry evolving?”
We ponder profound questions as we strive to transform into a top-notch policy provider.

We intend to demonstrate to the public the Ministry's transformation by overhauling both our hardware (organizational structure and personnel) and our software (policies and systems).

Through these efforts, the Ministry will advocate for the voices of veterans and their families, enhance our systems to yield meaningful outcomes for them, and spearhead substantial policy innovations to foster a culture of honor that can catalyze national unity.

Furthermore, we are committed to fulfilling the government's national agenda: To establish "a first-class veterans system where the nation is committed to full support from beginning to end" and build "a country that respects and remembers those who have sacrificed for the nation and its people."

We sincerely ask for your continued interest and support. Thank you.
