On the afternoon of February 27th, Minister Kang Jung-ai visited the Yanghwajin Foreign Missionary Cemetery in Mapo-gu, Seoul, to pay tribute at the grave of foreign independence activist Ernest Bethell. She was accompanied by key dignitaries, including Park Kang-soo Mayor of Mapo-gu, Kim Sung-soo President of Seoul Newspaper, Kim Dae-ha Head of the Seoul Chapter of the Liberation Association, Kim Dong-jin Chairman of the Hulbert Memorial Society, and Cha Sang-taek Chairman of the Bethell Memorial Society. Together, they laid flowers and observed a moment of silence.
