Program Sequence

Assemble at the designated point → Tribute at the Memorial Tower (optional) → Volunteer activity → Self-guided tour of the cemetery
To cultivate a spirit of patriotism, participation in memorial tributes, guided tours, or educational programs before or after the volunteer service is highly encouraged.

Activity Details

May vary by season - Graveyard Cleaning Activities (Examples) (Cleaning headstonesRemoving wilted flowersReplacing flower vasesCollecting and replacing artificial flowers and national flagsCollecting fallen leaves, etc.)

Detailed activity instructions will be provided after registration depending on the scheduled period.

For the collection of wilted flowers, only completely withered flowers may be removed. Artificial flowers must not be collected.

Volunteer Certificate

Volunteer Certificate or 1365 Record Registration (2 hours recognized)

Required at the time of application for information volunteer service (requests after the activity will not be accepted for time credit)

Important Notice for 1365 Application

The official title for individual volunteer activities at Seoul National Cemetery will be posted as “Volunteer Activity at Seoul National Cemetery on MM/DD.” Other titles or unauthorized listings will not be accepted for participation.e.g., “Volunteer Activity at Seoul National Cemetery on MM/DD (XX School, XX Club)” – Invalid
or groups of 70 participants or fewer: Submit the following via email to the coordinator on the day of the activity or the day after:One group photo, Three activity photos, One participant list with handwritten signatures (see attached file)
Please note that discrepancies in information such as date of birth or 1365 ID in the attached form may prevent record registration. Email subject: “Volunteer Photos and Participant List – XX Group MM/DD” / Email: wins34@korea.kr
For groups with more than 70 participants:Please contact the volunteer program officer at 02-811-6128 for separate instructions.

Important (see attachment): For group volunteer activities with fewer than 70 people, attendance sheets must be submitted before and after the activity either in hard copy or via email for 1365 time registration.

Notices

In the event of a disaster/severe weather advisory/warning, or a forecast of rain, the activity will be canceled as a general rule. (Notification will be provided the day before or on the day of the activity)
The schedule and time of volunteer activities may be adjusted according to the institutional circumstances.
Maintain a solemn atmosphere and wear appropriate attire during volunteer activities. Volunteers who are disruptive, who wear inappropriate attire (e.g., slippers), or who fail to participate sincerely may be restricted from future registration.
