General Gravesite Interpretation

Seoul National Cemetery operates a program consisting of tributes, gravesite tours, and exhibition hall visits to honor meritorious individuals buried at the cemetery and to foster patriotism among student and general visitors.
Visitors are requested to wear respectful attire and maintain a solemn atmosphere when visiting the cemetery.

Program Operation

Operating Period / Time January to December, Monday to Friday (No operation on Saturdays and public holidays) / 09:30–11:30, 13:30–16:30
Eligibility Elementary, middle, and high school and university students, public officials, general groups (15 or more participants)
How to Participate Reserve by phone for the tribute and guided tour. A designated professional guide will later provide details on the schedule and tour course.(Schedule adjustments can be coordinated with the visiting institution if necessary)

Changing or canceling the reservation must be done through an official document or an email request from the organization

  • Reservations must be made at least 3 days before the tour date.
  • On the day of the tour, the schedule may change depending on the outdoor weather and on-site conditions.
  • In particular, outdoor tours may be canceled if a heavy rain, snow, or typhoon advisory is issued on the day of the visit.
  • When paying tribute at the Memorial Tower, please wear proper attire and set mobile phones to silent mode. Designate 1–2 persons to offer the representative tribute.
    Prior reservation is required.
  • For gravesite tours, vehicles must be parked at the parking lot in front of the Memorial Gate.

Bus Tour of Seoul National Cemetery

This is a guided program where participants travel by bus and get off at major sites within the cemetery to receive commentary.

Please note: The tour may be canceled if fewer than 3 participants register.

Operation Schedule March to November, every Wednesday at 13:30

The bus departs promptly at 13:30, so please board on time.

Meeting Point: In front of the red mailbox to the left of the main gate information center by 13:30

Walk-ins may participate on the day if seats are available, but priority is given to online reservations.

Seoul National Cemetery Walking Tour with Commentary

This is a walking tour program where participants visit major gravesites of Seoul National Cemetery and receive a guided commentary.

Schedule 4~April–June, September–November / Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 14:00

The program will be canceled in case of rain on the day of the tour.

Excluded Dates : Memorial Day, days surrounding Chuseok, and 2nd or 3rd Saturday of May
