Monument for the Yuldong-ri Combat

The Yuldong-ri combat (April 22-23, 1951) was the biggest one fought by the Philippine soldiers during the Korean War. In this combat, Philippine soldiers bravely fought to deter the Chinese Spring offensive. This monument was established to commemorate their victory in the combat.

The Philippines dispatched one infantry battalion to the Korean War. The battalion, which was attached to the US division, made achievements in the combats of Yuldong-ri, Yonchon, and the Hill Christmas.
This monument was established to commemorate Philippine participation in the war.
