The Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Pi Woo-jin will invite US veterans who fought in the Korean War including the Battle of Jangjin Lake and their families to Korea in commemoration of the UN Day.
In particular, Jean Paul White, a US Marine Corps veteran who fought in various battles during the Korean War, will also visit Korea through the program and plans to deliver his sincere appreciation towards the Korean government for the honor and respect it has shown to him and his comrades.
The itinerary of the visit is as follows.
October 23: introduction on the Revisit Korea Program and other international projects conducted by MPVA, cultural activities, move to Busan
October 24: wreath-laying ceremony in UNMCK in Busan, 72nd UN Day ceremony and Thank You Luncheon hosted by Busan Metropolitan City
October 25: tribute in War Memorial, visit to Seoul National Cemetery for the ceremony honoring veterans who fought in the Battle of Jangjin Lake
October 26: visit to Panmunjeom, Thank You Banquet hosted by the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs
