| MPVA Invites Former United Nations Command Personnel to Korea | |

⚫ MPVA will host a homecoming event from the 10th (Tuesday) to the 15th (Sunday) for UNC and USFK servicemembers and their families to express gratitude for their contributions to post-war reconstruction and peacekeeping.
⚫ This marks the third homecoming event for UNC and USFK servicemembers, following the 2021 event (16 individuals) and the 2022 event (50 individuals). ⚫ Among the 91 guests, six individuals who served in Korea, including Mr. Dennis Bullard, are also the sons of Korean War veterans. A medic who was serving when North Korea’s raid on the Blue House occurred in 1968, and a husband and wife who both worked in USFK will also revisit Korea. ⚫ The itinerary includes visits to past duty locations, Panmunjom, Seoul National Cemetery, participation in the ROK-US Alliance Academic Conference, and wreath-laying at the War Memorial. ⚫ Minister Park Min-shik stated, "We will expand our gratitude and friendship forged by veterans of the Korean War to those who served in UNC and USFK, and make every effort to strengthen solidarity with participating nations as well as the ROK-US Alliance." |
