- Official launching of the 70th Anniversary of the Korean War Commemoration Committee, and holding of an appointment ceremony and its first meeting
* Paying respects, prior to the meeting, in front of the memorial monument to 175,801 Korean War veterans of the Republic of Korea and of the UN sending states who were sacrificed during the war
* Voting on three agenda items including operational plans, bylaws of the 70th Anniversary of the Korean War Commemoration Committee, and overall plans for the 70th anniversary of the Korean War commemoration programs
- Consisting of a total of 31 delegates (15 ex officio delegates, 16 appointed delegates) with Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun and former Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Kim Eun-ki as Co-Chairmen
- Creating an opportunity for commemoration, integration, and peace with the international community including the Korean War veterans, citizens, and the UN sending states |
□ The 70th Anniversary of the Korean War Commemoration Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Committee") under Prime Minister held the appointment ceremony for non-governmental delegates and its first meeting at the War Memorial of Korea on 31 January at 9 am.
