| MPVA Invites Dutch Korean War Veterans in Light of Pyeongchang Winter Olympics | |

The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (Minister Pi Woo-jin) will invite Dutch Korean War veterans and their families in light of the Dutch Prime Minister’s visit to the Republic of Korea for the opening ceremony of Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. During the visit, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Dutch Ambassador to Korea Lody Embrechts, Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Pi Woo-jin, Dutch Korean War veterans, governor of Gangwon Province Choi Moon-soon, and residents of Gangwon Province will participate in the memorial ceremony of Hoengseong Battle. Petrus Paulus Gerardus Gommers, the President of Korean War Veterans Association of Netherlands, said that he has a great impression on the Revisit Korea Program organized by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and that he is more than happy about the Korean government’s interest in Dutch Korean War veterans and their families. |
