The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs held a repatriation ceremony of a UK War Hero, late William Speakman on February 18 at Incheon International Airport. The ceremony was attetnded by Simon Smith, the British Ambassador to South Korea, the families of late William Speakman, and Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Pi Woo Jin, and distinguished guests.

Late William Speakman was awarded the highest honour in South Korea (Order of Military Merit) and the UK(Victoria Cross) The MPVA organized the repatriation ceremony in accordance with late William Speakman's wish to be buried in Korea, a country he fought so hard to protect.
